SESSIONS AND Courses
PT Javorina (SK) 20. 7. – 27. 7. 2025 // capacity: 64 students
‘B’ is an international and thematic Arts+Science session. By putting an emphasis on these two seemingly opposite spheres of knowledge, we hope to start meaningful conversations between people from different fields and bring into the light the interconnectedness of these disciplines, revealing them as two sides of the same coin. The week will also be filled with holistic activities (movement, discussions, sports, crafts, and all kinds of fun & games), though more on the chill side. This session will take place in the beautiful landscapes of Slovakia, at PT Javorina (Myjava). xoxo!
Lying in the heart of the Kopaničářský region in the beautiful White Carpathians, the cottage complex of PT Javorina is located behind the village of Stará Myjava in a quiet environment among the trees. Next to the cottages you will find a large social hall with a kitchen. There is a beautiful reservoir for swimming nearby, along with hiking trails, cycling routes, beach-volleyball court and grass football pitches.
Coordinators: Laura Prachárová and Štěpán FolgetI
HOW TO GET THERE?
We provide a free shuttle from the main bus station in Bratislava. If you are flying via Vienna International Airport, you can reach the main bus station in Bratislava by a direct bus connection.
Sv. Jan pod Skalou (Czechia) 3. 8. – 10. 8. 2025 // capacity: 80 students
Session ‘D’ is the second international Discover Session of the summer! Our diverse team of tutors and organisers from 9 different nationalities is beyond excited to bring you a broad selection of courses! Other parts of the programme in the session are focused on themes such as personal development, holistic growth, mental health, as well as international opportunities and navigating the challenges related to experiencing them. Our session will take place in the beautiful monastery of Svaty Jan, just outside Prague. We look forward to seeing you there!
Accommodation is provided in a former Benedictine monastery, which is now a pedagogical college. Thanks to its age and strong walls, the monastery is pleasantly cool even in the summer, and all rooms, including classrooms and dining hall, are in very close proximity to one another. Participants are accommodated in multi-bedded rooms and shared sanitary facilities are located on each floor. Bedrooms and bathrooms are gender-segregated, and there are gender-neutral toilets. A few steps away from the main building is a large garden that belongs to the monastery, where you can relax, play various games or try slacklining. St. John’s Cliff towers over the whole area and offers a beautiful view of the surroundings. Not too far from the monastery lie the Nová Amerika quarry and Karlštejn Castle, where you can go on a trip.
Coordinátors: Meri Suonenlahti, Sophia Duttenhöfer, Oliver Matonoha

You can expect a packed Discover program – courses, games, workshops, trips, volleyball, discussions, and many other activities in a friendly and informal atmosphere.
Accommodation is provided in newly renovated rooms and apartments directly at Farma Cerovo. The area also includes an outdoor pool, volleyball court, small football field, and tennis courts.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you!
Coordinators: Vojtěch Hons and Antonín Šámal.

PT Javorina (Slovakia) 27. 7. – 3. 8. 2025 // capacity: 80 students
Session C is a classic Czech-Slovak session without a thematic focus, held in Slovakia at the PT Javorina facility near Myjava. Traditionally, the session offers students a proven, balanced Discover program: courses, games, workshops, a trip, and various other activities. The nearby swimming pool and picturesque surroundings are also worth mentioning. We look forward to seeing you!

SUPPORTER FEE: 357€
Some students need support, for instance, a small amount that can alleviate expenses such as travel costs.
SUPER SUPPORTER FEE: 397€
Students typically request a scholarship amounting to 2,500 CZK / 100 EUR. With your contribution as a Super Supporter, you can help them achieve their dreams.
WHY CONTRIBUTE MORE?
We wish for the Discover Summer Academy to be accessible to all students regardless of their families’ financial situations. We strive to keep the costs of Discover as low as possible, covering only the expenses for renting the venue, food, materials, and basic operational costs. We organize the academy as volunteers without any claim to compensation. We believe that the academy can be a great benefit and a wonderful experience not only for its organizers but also for the students. Your support allows us to pass on our enthusiasm for education to students for whom the fee is currently the only barrier to participation. If you also want to join our donors this year and help the next generation of students discover their love for learning, we would be very grateful for your support!
You can also apply for a partial or full scholarship. More information here.
