Songwriting and the Music Industry
What does it take to make a song you’re able to listen to on your streaming platform of choice?
In this course we’ll take a look at the birth of a song. From the moment of the first idea to the moment a song reaches its completion and is distributed to the listener.
In the first part of the course we’ll have a short overview of the workings of the music industry. Then, we’ll work on our active listening skills and you’ll get to know each other to facilitate collaboration.
The main focus of the course will be the practical art of songwriting. In a form of songwriting camp I will be helping you develop the skills to transform your ideas into fully formed songs. You will be working with other creatives to write at least one full song which you will be able to perform at the end of the week. This course is for inclusive to all level of experience what is important is your passion and will to write songs.
