Dominik Fiala
Dominik is a master’s student in Civil Society Studies at Charles University. He previously studied journalism and edits a student media website. When he is not dealing with commas and quotation marks, he wanders the streets of Prague with a camera, plays the guitar by the campfire, or pretends at home that he is composing a film soundtrack on the piano.
For several years he led a children’s group and summer camps, which gave him patience, organizational reflexes, and a healthy relationship with chaos—whatever that may mean. In the future, he wants to work in the nonprofit sector with disadvantaged youth and to remind the world that solidarity and empathy are more effective (note for capitalists: also cheaper) than the “everyone is the architect of their own fortune” approach.
