Discover Yourself
(Currently only available for Czech- and Slovak-speakers). 6 weekends in interesting places in the Czech Republic with interesting lecturers, topics and inspiring guests from fields such as political science, artificial intelligence, lobbying, architecture, psychology, journalism or even film production.
PRACTICE what is not taught in school
In our first year, Discover Yourself taught us a lot of practical skills and exposed us to topics that are often not taught in school. We already know what direction to go into and what college to apply for, or how to recognise our talents. This does not only give students the opportunity to find out what fields they are passionate about, but also gives them the chance to have fun and connect with experts.
INSPIRATION
From the best in the industry. Each of the weekends also features a special guest who give insight about their own life journey and career. The pilot edition was attended by, for example, aerospace engineer Jan Lukačevič, journalist Klára Votatová, founder of I’m in the Picture Johana Bázlerová or director Jakub Jahn.

ABOUT THE APPLICATION
Are you a high schooler interested in exploring and developing yourself regardless of school performance? Just fill out the free application form and then decide to pay the fee of 12,500 CZK, apply for a scholarship, or pay a higher amount and help other high school students attend Discover.
YOU CAN APPLY IF YOU ARE:
A student from any Czech or Slovak high school graduating between 2024 and 2027.
WHY APPLY FOR DISCOVER YOURSELF?
- We will help you decide whether to go to university after graduation or maybe start your own business.
- During 6 face-to-face weekend sessions you will get to know different fields of study that you won’t encounter the same way in high school.
- You will meet interesting people from different sectors such as science, technology or business and culture.
THE SUCCESS OF YOUR APPLICATION IS NOT DETERMINED BY:
- your grades in school,
- whether you’ve attended a Discover Summer Academy in the past,
- whether you are a freshman or senior,
- whether you can afford to pay the full application fee.
Your acceptance depends solely on your motivation, your willingness to engage with the Discover community and to participate in the weekend sessions.
